Oven Baked Shrimp

I felt like having shrimp today and also wanted to try a different shrimp recipe.   I used Yummly to find shrimp recipes and settled on this one from Turnip the Oven:

I loved the crunchy topping made with herbs (parsley and thyme), red pepper flakes, lemon zest, butter and panko crumbs.

Which all got put together in a bowl

And mixed together thoroughly with my fingers.

The shrimp gets mixed with white wine and garlic

And layered in a baking dish where the panko mixture gets crumbled on top.

The dish gets put into a 425 Fahrenheit oven until the shrimp turns pink and the topping browns.

Larger shrimp might take about 15 minutes.  The shrimp I used was medium, so it took only 10 minutes.  I also used plain panko crumbs vs the whole wheat panko recommended in the recipe.

I really liked this - Steve did not.  He didn't like the thyme, and he didn't like the spiciness of the red pepper flakes.  I liked the spiciness and the crunchy topping.  I wish I had also made some rice or at least had crusty bread to dip into the juicy drippings.

So I am just going to have to make when Steve is out of town.
