Green Beans and Bacon

I have had a craving for green beans and bacon.  So I pulled out a bag of green beans I had blanched and frozen, and set forth to indulge my craving.

I have been cooking bacon in the oven, so thought I would try just adding the green beans to the baking sheet. Plus a little more bacon.

After 20 minutes at 400 Fahrenheit it was clear that wasn't really working out so I removed the beans and put the bacon back in the oven for six more minutes.

I sliced up the beans and put them in a big skillet.  They hadn't really picked up much flavor like I thought they would, so I seasoned them with salt, and added some sliced onion, and two cloves of minced garlic.

I sautéd this over medium high heat while the bacon finished. Then added the bacon, sliced, plus some of the bacon grease.

I lowered the heat, covered the pan, and let it cook another ten minutes. It was delicious.

I probably wouldn't do it exactly this way again, but the combo is good, so I would tweak it and do again.
